Hello,

My name is Patricia Howard, and I have worked in the public cemetery sector for 32 years. Throughout my career, I have completed extensive coursework on government law and the Health and Safety Code as it pertains to public cemeteries.

Currently, I serve as the District Manager for ​the Byron-Brentwood-Knighten Union Cemetery District. In addition to my management role, I ​am on the Board of Directors for the California Association of Public Cemeteries (CAPC)​ and the Public Cemetery Alliance (PCA), which represents over 2​50 ​Cemetery Districts throughout the State of California.

My professional dedication is rooted in a lifelong appreciation for the history and tranquility found within cemeteries. Having grown up near the cemeteries in Colma, California, I have always valued how these spaces preserve the heritage of families and their communities.

I am passionate about the preservation and management of our public cemeteries to ensure their history lives on for future generations​ and provide affordable burial.
