Hello,

My name is Patricia Howard, and I have worked in the public cemetery sector for 32 years. Throughout my career, I have completed extensive coursework on government law and the Health and Safety Code as it pertains to public cemeteries.

Currently, I serve as the District Manager for the Byron-Brentwood-Knighten Union Cemetery District. In addition to my management role, I am on the Board of Directors for the California Association of Public Cemeteries (CAPC) and the Public Cemetery Alliance (PCA), which represents over 250 Cemetery Districts throughout the State of California.

My professional dedication is rooted in a lifelong appreciation for the history and tranquility found within cemeteries. Having grown up near the cemeteries in Colma, California, I have always valued how these spaces preserve the heritage of families and their communities.

I am passionate about the preservation and management of our public cemeteries to ensure their history lives on for future generations and provide affordable burial.
